During the online discussion, someone asked a really good questions. Would you like to see another film made the same way - with stills instead of moving images - if it was about another topic.
Well, here one is. A former student of mine made it a few years ago when he went to film school at NYU.
Reactions? Comments?
i didnt like this compared to the other one in class because for this one it it seems as if the people are posing for the pictures which i think they are and i think it looks better when they dont look like they are posing for pictures
ReplyDeleteI agree with what Richie said. In class, the film looked like action shots. Where as in this one, the pictures look as if they're taken from Google. I think you can make a really cool movie with still photos. Personally I don't like stills just because I want to be able to see what's going on, such as actions and emotions during a film.
ReplyDeleteI understand where Richie and Sandra are coming from when they say they enjoyed the one we saw in class over this one. The difference i saw from La Jetee to Hiding in Plain Sights was La Jetee had sci-fi theme to it and Hiding in PLain Sight was more geared toward comedy. It's hard to compare those to one another. I give the student credit for turn such a bland topic "Waldo" into a funny E! inside story of his life.
